Q Venture and Q Explorist
When it comes to smartwatches, Fossil is a renowned name. It has now debuted two new faces to its existing lineup – Q Venture and Q Explorist. Both are now available for pre-order in US. Venture sports a 42mm case that is 11.5mm thin with 18mm band while the Explorist has 44mm case with 12.6mm thickness and supports 22mm bands. Here are the details.
Design and Features
These are the first Fossil Q watches to offer a full round display. Q Explorist will be available with leather straps in Navy, Brown, and Luggage colors and the metal bands come in Silver and Smoke. On the other hand, Q Venture will be available with leather band in Sand with Rose Gold watch case and metal come with plain stainless steel, Rose Gold, and Rose Gold with jewels around the bezel and band.
Both new devices come with freebies such as interchangeable straps, fast magnetic charger and vintage arcade-inspired game. They are IP67 rated and thus, you can shower or swim while wearing them. They also include Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and offer all day battery life.
Hardware
When it comes to the internals, both watches are identical. These are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The watches feature round touchscreens with improved brightness and clarity as compared to last year’s models. They both ship with the latest version of Google’s smartwatch operating system; Android Wear 2.0. The new Android Wear boasts various watch face customizations, Google’s voice-activated, AI-powered Google Assistant and more.
Pricing Details
As far as the pricing is concerned, Fossil Q Venture starts at $255 and the Fossil Q Explorist starts at $275. Both models have options of leather and metal bands and let you choose them according to your look and price.
