Asus ZenScreen Portable USB-C Monitor Arrives in US

Asus unveils the latest 15.6-inch screen that can actually connect to your computer, tablet or phone. With this screen, the company takes this concept to the next level with a lightweight and super portable panel. It comes with some of the innovative stand options. The screen is available for pre-order in US at the price of $249 at Amazon. It is 8mm thin and weighs about 780 grams. Asus ZenScreen features an IPS panel without an anti-glare coating and contrast ratio of 800:1.

USB-Type C

This full HD IPS LCD display comes with a single USB Type-C port on the left edge at the bottom along with good menu controls and a power switch. Just like any other portable monitor, it requires a single USB connection for power and video transmission. Also, the IPS panel features a hybrid USB Type-C port that supports Displayport over USB. It is also compatible with USB 3.0 Type-A as it includes USB-C to USB-A cable and a driver.

Asus Smart Case

The included synthetic leather Asus Smart Case is 1mm thick. It helps to protect the monitor from dust and scratches. In addition, it is also claimed to be ergonomically designed which allows the screen to hold conveniently in landscape as well as portrait orientation. When you don’t use the case, the display can be propped in either orientation by inserting included ZenScreen pen into the little horn at the corner of the monitor. In addition, the screen also comes with built-in auto rotation feature.

Other Features

The additional features of Asus ZenScreen include Asus Eye Care technology that combines the flicker reduction and blue light filter to reduce fatigue of eyes. Other overlay functions include timer, photo modes, crosshair and more. It is a lightweight USB monitor and is remarkably thin at 8.0mm.
