HTC has announced two new smartphones: the high-end HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. They come with same design elements in U series but have different specifications. HTC U Ultra is available for pre-order in US at the price of $749 on HTC website. The shipments will begin in mid-March 2017. It comes in various color options such as sapphire blue, ice white and brilliant black.

HTC U Ultra
HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inch display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating on the front and back. The secondary display on HTC U Ultra has a 2-inch screen that shows information such as weather forecast, notifications and contact. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It houses 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The memory can be expanded up to 2TB.
In terms of optics, it has a 12MP sensor with dual LED flash along with features like Ultra pixel high sensitivity, speed laser focus and OIS optical anti shake. There’s a 16MP sensor at the front that includes automatic HDR, Panorama self timer and many more features.
The sensors on the phone include proximity, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, fingerprint, compass and magnetic sensor. It is backed by a non-removable li-ion battery with 3000mAh.

HTC U Play
HTC U Play features a 5.2-inch FHD display and comes with MediaTek Helio P10 processor. It comes with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and has storage of 32GB or 64GB. The features include 16MP front and rear cameras, 2500mAh battery and USB Type-C port.
Both smartphones come with built-in voice assistants called Sense Companion. It works similar to Siri and Google’s Assistant.
