ZTE Axon 7 Premium Variant
ZTE has launched the Premium variant of the popular Axon 7 smartphone in the US. It comes with $100 increase in price with new features, more RAM and double the storage as compared to ZTE Axon 7. The limited edition ZTE Axon 7 Premium is available for $499.98 directly from ZTE website.
New Features
The upgraded Axon 7 Premium is the first device by ZTE that comes with pressure sensitive display in US. This is called as Force Touch by the company. Apple uses the same tech in iPhone by the name of 3D Touch. The Force Touch allows users to press on screen to trigger various actions. For example, one can Force Touch on WhatsApp to display a shortcut to create a new conversation or an existing one.
Display and Processor
The new Axon 7 flagship inherits the metallic unibody construction with display specs remaining the same as predecessor. It flaunts a big 5.5-inch AMOLED QHD Force Touch display with 2.5D curved glass protection. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with ZTE skip on top.
Camera and Battery
On the camera front, ZTE Axon 7 Premium has a 20MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/1.8 aperture and IOS+EIS+PDAF. It is capable of capturing 4K videos at 30fps and slow motions at 720p. At the front, it houses an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. In terms of battery, ZTE Axon 7 Premium packs a 3250mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The connectivity options of the smartphone include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, 4G LTE and NFC. It also houses a fingerprint sensor at the back.
