Called Canon EOS M5, the camera comes with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor in addition to Digic 7 image processor. SLR-Style Mirrorless Camera
Canon EOS M5 is a new SLR-style mirrorless camera and comes with built-in electronic viewfinder. It features four dials and buttons at the top and there’s a scroll wheel with menu controls on the back of the camera. The camera is also weather-sealed. You will also find a 3.2-inch touchscreen on the back. M5 is capable of shooting stills at 7 frames per second with continuous autofocus or 9 fps without it. The camera also lets you capture 1080p video at up to 60 frames per second.

The full HD 60p helps capture fast-moving subjects in MP4 format. It has the same size 24.4-megapixel APS-C sensor, a similar 49 cross-type autofocus points, and an ISO range of 100-25,600. The built-in high resolution EVF with new Touch and Drag AF allows you to manually move the AF frame, allowing for more precise focusing in various different situations of shooting.
Bluetooth Low Energy
Canon EOS M5 is the first camera in the EOS lineup that comes equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy. This allows an always-on connection to a user’s smartphone. EOS M5 sports a Digic 7 processor as well as NFC and Wi-Fi for easy pairing with devices such as smartphone. As it comes equipped with Bluetooth Smart, it offers smooth pairing with a compatible smartphone for easy photo sharing. Also, the shorter camera startup and interval time allows for a more efficient and smooth shooting experience.

The new Canon EOS M5 is scheduled to be available in November 2016 and the price is $979.99 for the body only. It is available for pre-order at Amazon. It will also be sold as part of body and lens kit with EF-M 15-45mm/F3.5-6.3 IS STM at price of $1099 in November and with new EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens for $1,479 in December 2016.
