Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook
Barnes & Noble has this time come up with another co-branded tablet called Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook. Priced at $139.99, it is available on the Barnes & Noble website and Barnes & Noble stores in the US. Fred Argir, Chief Digital Officer at Barnes & Noble, said, “The Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook is the perfect device for customers who are looking for a leading tablet that combines the latest features and a great reading experience at an unbeatable price.”
Display and Processor
Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook features a big 7-inch display with screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 216ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. The tablet houses 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable further via microSD card up to 200GB. It is available in black color and features a home button and two capacitive buttons. It runs Android 5.1 operating system.
Camera and Battery
Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook features a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. In terms of battery, it is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. It charges via microUSB and has a GPS sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The company says that the battery will last for about 11 hours with internet use.
Nook Features
The tablet comes with all standard Nook features such as the digital store, newsstand and B&N readouts etc. This special Nook edition gives you access to the Barnes & Noble books library via Nook’s software. One can also create up to six family profiles so that everyone can have different experience. Nook Audiobooks will come to the device via software update in September.
Pricing
Though the tablet retails for $139.99 but current Nook owners who want it can get it for $99 by showing proof of purchase of a Nook device or by trading in their existing one at any Barnes & Noble store. Also, members will get a free case with purchase of Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook tablet.
