Garmin is one of the most popular providers of smartwatches. It has continually come up with new and exciting smartwatches that include several exercise and activity tracking features such as VivoActive,Vivomove and more. This time, it has come up with the first luxury smartwatch called Garmin Fenix Chronos. It is a beautiful smartwatch that you could wear in bedroom, parties, gym and more. It costs $1499.99 which is considerably higher than an average smartwatch costs.
Design
Garmin Fenix Chronos is a premium smartwatch that comes with high-end tracking features. Garmin uses the Chroma display, 1.2” big. The screen is protected by a domed sapphire glass. The smartwatch has readability of classic black and white LCDs. In terms of design, the Fenix Chronos comes in three editions: titanium, steel and steel with leather strap. The one with brushed titanium case costs $1499 and the one with brushed steel case and 316L stainless steel links is priced at $999. The Fenix Chronos Steel with leather strap comes with the same stainless steel casing but with vintage leather band and it costs $899.
Activity Tracking
The smartwatch comes with all standard activity tracking features such as steps, calories, sleep tracking and more. It also includes more advanced tracking for physical activities like golf, open-water swimming and biking. It features an omni-directional EXO antenna with GPS and GLONASS, compass, barometer and a heart rate monitor.
Smart Notifications
One can easily pair the smartwatch with their phone and receive notifications. You will receive notifications for emails, texts and alerts right on your watch. You can also download apps from Garmin’s Connect IQ Store for live tracking, social media sharing and joining free online fitness community. In terms of battery life, Garmin says that Fenix Chronos will last 25 hours in battery-saving mode and 13 hours with GPS enabled and up to a week in smartwatch mode.
