Microsoft has announced a new iOS camera client called Microsoft Pix. The camera app uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically enhance your pictures. The most amazing part of Microsoft Pix is that there are no unwanted settings or complications. You are freed from manually performing any adjustable settings to improve your photo. The app makes uses of artificial intelligence to offer you the best looking pictures in a single tap.
Enhances Image Quality
Microsoft Pix promises to surpass the image quality as offered by the default camera app of the iPhone. It automatically adjusts the camera settings, automatically enhances the pictures and then chooses the best out of a burst of pictures. When the camera detects people in a picture, it add automatic enhancements that improve focus, color and exposure.
Uses Artificial Intelligence
The reason for its providing enhanced and improved pictures is the use of artificial intelligence. It is always snapping pictures once you turn it on. The app analyzes ten frames before and after you expose the shutter button. It automatically analyzes these shots and uses AI to offer you the best possible picture. Also, the app presents you with your original snapshot and an enhanced one. This allows you to select which picture you like more.
Live Photos
Microsoft Pix is also capable of shooting Live Photos which Microsoft calls Live Images. When the app senses motion, it takes a batch of pictures in a rapid succession. The information is stored in the jpg file and won’t take much space on your iPhone. The app makes pictures look better and even improves Apple Live Photos ability to capture better scenes.
