Meet Acer TravelMate X349
Acer has unveiled a new Windows 10 laptop called Acer TravelMate X349 which will be available during the autumn months of 2016 and the pricing starts around $650 in US. It will also be available in other regions such as Europe, Middle East and China. According to the company, the TravelMate X349 has a “sleek all-aluminum chassis less than 18mm in thickness.” Let’s have a look at its specifications:
Display and Design
The TravelMate X349 features a 14-inch display having full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with IPS technology. The display offer crystal clear viewing of the documents and webpages with wide viewing angles. It is highly portable and weighs only 1.53 kgs and measures under 18mm thin. The laptop features an all-aluminum chassis with brushed-metal finish to offer a premium look and feel.
Processor and Software
The Acer TravelMate X349 is powered by 6th Generation Intel Core processors coupled with 8GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB SSDs. The laptop comes with Windows 10 Pro, providing you powerful security features. In addition, the integrated touch fingerprint sensor supports Windows Hello to offer fast and secure sign-in. To enhance the security, it ships with a TMP 2.0 chip that provides protection for passwords and sensitive data.
Keyboard and Other Features
TravelMate X349 includes an LED backlit keyboard which provides excellent tactile feedback for accurate touch-typing. The keyboard offers a comfortable typing experience even in low-light situations. In terms of audio, it has fine-tuned speakers and microphones along with a 720p HDR webcam. It includes a USB Type-C port for pairing with Acer USB Type-C Dock to offer fast charging and data transfers. Acer claims that it offers up to 10 hours of battery life.
The pricing for TravelMate X349 starts at $649.99 in North America in October. HP has recently unveiled Chromebook 11 G5 priced at $189.
