Yahoo app for Android and iOS focuses on bringing better tailored news and video content in addition to improving discussion with easy accessible comments section. The updated version includes a streamlined settings menu and a revamped bottom toolbar. The company is rolling out an updated Yahoo mail app.
New features of Yahoo Mail App
Swipe Customization
With these new features, users can customize swipes and you will be able to choose what happens when you swipe across your messages in the inbox. The various options for customizable swipes are star, send to folder, archive and lots more. These new customizable swipe options can be find under Settings>Swipe actions. Both the Android and iOS versions will allow you to customize your swipes. When you long press to select multiple messages, you can star a group of emails or mark them as spam.
iOS-Specific Updates
New platform-specific updates have also been rolled out to the Yahoo mail app. Yahoo makes it easier for you to find file you are trying to attach it quicker. The app will now display a collection of recently received photos and files with a search bar so that you can find exactly what you are looking for.
Better Folder Organization
iOS users will now also be able to create, delete and rename folders. Yahoo mail helps you to be more organized. To manage folders, open the left sidebar to see your folder list below the list of mail views. To create a new folder, tap “Create New Folder” at the bottom of folder. You can long-press any existing folders to rename or delete folders or create subfolders.
Android Features
Android users can also move or star messages as soon as they arrive. With the actionable notifications, you will be able to deal with an email the moment it arrives on your device. You will see two default actions on pop-up message, the same two you selected for swipe-right and swipe-left actions.
Improved File Attachment
The latest update to Yahoo mail app also makes sending attachments easy with the ability to quickly search and attach pictures and recent documents. When you compose a new email, tap the plus button and the paperclip icon to access search bar to find what you want to send.
Yahoo Mail app is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or later. The updates for both operating systems are rolling out. You can download the updated versions of Android and iOS Yahoo mail app.
