About LG Super UHD TVs
>LG Electronics is all set to come up with Super UHD TVs during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. The TVs are most advanced LG’s TV with advanced LCD/LED screens in terms of picture quality, according to the company. These TVs are designated HDR Plus, implying that they can show 4K HDR content in a more realistic manner as compared to a standard HDR screen.
Meet the Super UHD TV lineup
The lineup includes the top-tier UH9500, UH8500, and UH7700 and range in sizes of 49 inches to 86 inches in size. These TVs feature IPS displays with features like minimize reflections, enhance contrast ratio and more. At the top of the heap are UH9500-series sets in screen sizes 55 to 86 inchesand then comes UH8500 models which come with 75 inches. The UH7700 models make up the entry level UHD series with sizes ranging from 49 to 65 inches. According to the company, the new sets will offer the best picture quality.
Special Features
These Super UHD TVs are expected to deliver up to 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. As all of these come with HDR Plus, they can process and display High Dynamic Range content from a variety of sources. These TV sets will also work to improve non-HDR content. LG has worked with Harman/Kardon to develop a high-quality audio speaker system for its new super UHD TV series. LG’s premium LED TV lineup features performance-enhancing technologies that go beyond basic4K Ultra HD (UHD) televisions.
The UH9500, UH8500 and UH7700 series come with an advance IPS display with True Black Panel and Contrast Maximiser. According to LG, the True Black Panel is a proprietary technology that minimises reflections and enhances contrast ratio.
Flat Ultra Slim Design
The UH9500 comes with a new design concept and come in at just 6.6mm thickness. All three aforementioned Super UHD TVs will feature Flat Ultra Slim Design. Also, the borders around the TV are nearly invisible to create that “floating in air” look. These sets come with expanded color capabilities, advanced picture and sound-quality features and most advanced picture quality. LG’s Color Prime technology delivers a respectable increase in color saturation to make picture quality notably outpace quality of traditional HD sets.
The 2016 UHD TV lineup will come with latest generation of LG’s webOS Smart TV platform.
About WebOS 3.0
LG’s SuperUHD TVs will run off LG’s latest WebOS 3.0 software. It comes with an easy-to-use interface and offers simpler switching among sources and channels. WebOS 3.0 is preferred by majority of TV owners. LG will launch this at CES 2016. WebOS 3.0 adds advanced features to make finding and switching between LG’s expanded content options.
