Xiaomi has come up with a new smartphone in India dubbed Redmi Note Prime. It will be available exclusively on Amazon.in and Mi.com starting 10am on 15th December. The device carries a price tag of Rs. 8,499.
About Redmi Note Prime
The device would be the first smartphone manufactured in India. The launch has been in line with the ‘Make in India’ plan. It is also the second Mi phone manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group. It is an enhanced version of Redmi Note 4G smartphone launched in India last year.

Display and Processor
It features a 5.5 inch IPS display with HD 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with 267 ppi. The handset is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with a2GB LPDDR3 of RAM. The battery efficient Cortex-A7 lets you enjoy smoother and more fluid experience. With Adreno 306 graphics processor, you will enjoy playing games and watching HD videos vivid. The Redmi Note Prime runs on Android 4.4 KitKat-based MIUI 7.
Camera
The smartphones comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.4 to take better pictures even in low light. Here’s a front camera of 5 megapixel and it also comes with low light photography support.
Battery
The Redmi Note Prime includes a 3100mAh high-capacity battery to provide the best experience. according to the company, the device provides 14 hours of internet browsing/ 45 hours of talktime and up to 50 hours of music playback or 775 hours on standby.
Connectivity
On the connectivity front, the device sports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, microUSB 2.0, USB-OTG and GPS/ A-GPS.
