QiKU is a joint venture between Chinese Internet Company Qihoo 360 and handset maker Coolpad. They have come up with their first smartphone in India called as QiKU Q Terra.
About QiKU Q Terra
QiKU is the latest Chinese company to enter the Indian smartphone market. QiKU Q Terra is a smartphone with 13mp + 13mp dual camera at the back. It is priced at Rs. 21,499 but is available at a special price of Rs. 19,999 with invites. The invites are available starting December 5.
“We truly believe that Indian consumers are becoming evolved users of smartphones and need a premium experience. With QiKU Terra, we are essentially offering the best in class experience at an affordable price,” says Varun Sharma, the CEO of Qiku India.
Display
Coming to the display, the QiKU Q Terra comes with 6-inch FHD 1080 x 1920 display. It comes with pixel density of 386ppi. It weighs 185 grams and comes with impressive features like fingerprint scanner, Fast Charge and Fast 4G with up to 300mbps speed.
Processor
It is powered by Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor and comes with 3GB RAM. It has internal storage capacity of 16GB which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Qihoo 360 OS with additional security features. According to QiKU, one can uninstall any stock app other than Dialer and Messages, giving users more flexibility in apps.
Camera
The USP of the smartphone is its camera. It sports dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, support for 4K video recording, Fast Focus features and more. One 13-megapixel camera captures a normal color image while the other one captures a black and white image. When combined, the resultant image comes with better color accuracy. The black and white camera capture sharper details and contours and produce stunningly detailed images even in low light conditions. On the front, there’s an 8MP camera with wide-angle lens and FotoNotion 4.0. Both cameras are accompanied by a fast f/1.8 aperture.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and a microUSB port with USB OTG support. It bears a 3700mAh battery with support for faster charging.
