Samsung has announced the Ativ Book 9 Pro and is the latest addition to the ATIV line of high-end laptops.
About Ativ Book 9 Pro
It is the first laptop with a 4K display and comes with a 15.6 inch and 3840 x 2160 touchscreen display. It comes with a Core M chip within a super thin, light chassis. The laptop is powered by a 6th-generation Intel Core i7 processor running at 2.6GHz with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The laptop comes equipped with optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics and 6.5 hours of battery life.

Display
With the 15.6 inches and a 3840 x 22160 display, it is the Samsung’s first 4K laptop. It is the first from the company that comes with a Core i7 Skylake processor. With Ativ Book 9 Pro, Samsung has put the best display ever in the laptop. The laptop comes with 3840 x 2160 touchscreen display and Samsung calls it “real time HDR enhancements” for decent brightness and contrast optimization.
Processor
It runs on 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 Skylake processor and has 8GB of RAM. There’s an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics card to allow for some serious gaming. It also has 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a Type-C USB 3.1 port, a trio of USB 3.0 ports, 4K HDMI out, and an SD card reader.
Battery Life
The battery life does not sound too great and the company says it can live up to 6.5 hours. The battery life is probably due to the 4K screen. The laptop comes with four speakers on the sides and a 4K HDMI port and the all-new reversible USB Type C port for charging.
About Ativ Book 9 Spin
At the announcement of Ativ Book 9 Pro, Samsung has also introduced Ativ Book 9 Spin. This convertible Ultrabook features a 13.3inch QHD+ display at 3200 x 1800 pixels and has an Intel Core i7 CPU with 8GB of RAM. The model features a 360-degree detachable screen with laptop, tented screen and tablet modes. It also features an all-aluminum shell and weighs a lot less than its powerful sibling at 2.87 pounds. With 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, it gives little over 7 hours of battery life and has the same RAM and storage as the larger Pro.
