Huawei Honor 7 First Impressions
The Huawei Honor 7 was launched in China earlier this year, followed by European market two month ago and now, it is all set to be released in India. The USP of this smartphone is the fingerprint sensor located in the rear of the device. It takes just half a second to unlock the device or make payments. Huawei has also launched Honor Band Z1 fitness tracker in India.
Design and Build Quality
The elegant design of the smartphone catches the attractive of every onlooker. It has all-metal unibody design and textured strips of metal on top and bottom edges. The sides of the Huawei Honor 7 are also nicely beveled to offer the phone a glossy finish. It weighs around 157 grams and is 8.5mm thick. On the left side, there is a Smart Key hardware button to perform certain tasks on single or double clicks. There’s an IR blaster and 3.5mm audio jack at the top of Honor 7.
Display and Performance
The Huawei Honor 7 sports a 5.2 inch full HD display and has its own Kirin 935 SoC which has an octa-core processor. The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop along with 3GB of RAM. The phone features a unibody metal design and has an IPS LCD display offering 1920 x 1080 HD resolution. It has a 64-bit octa core processor with maximum clock speed of 2.2ghZ. This Android powered smartphone has 16GB or 64GB of internal storage options that can be expanded via microSD card. The company during the launch event has confirmed that it will be the first device from Huawei to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
Camera and Battery
In terms of camera, Honor 7 employs a 20MP camera sensor on the rear side along with a dual-tone LED flash unit. The smartphone features an 8MP front camera with front-flash unit to take selfies in low light conditions. It has a non-removable 3,100mAh Li-polymer battery and supports fast charging technology.
