Chinese handset brand Meizu entered India back in May and now has unveiled the flagship Meizu MX5. It has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 19,999 and the company claims it to compete against high-end flagships like iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S6.
It comes with a fingerprint scanner, full-HD display and metal body that looks impressive. All metal body on smartphones belonged to the premium segment but not anymore. MX5 looks good and weighs just 149 grams. It features a physical home button on the front panel below the screen. The dual nano SIM tray is located on the left side.

Display
The smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch full HD SuperAMOLED display and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has MediaTek Helio X10 or the MT6795 chipset which has an octa core processor. It has a PowerVR G6200 graphics solution along with 3GB of RAM.
Connectivity
Meizu MX5 comes with Android 5.0 with Flyme UI. Some of its impressive features include customized settings screen, home button also functioning as back button and more. The dual nano SIM card slot can take in 3G as well as 4G SIM cards. It features WiFi 802.11ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and sensors such as the gyro, accelerometer, proximity sensor.
Camera
The Meizu MX5 sports a 20.7 megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX220 Exmor RS BSI sensor, laser autofocus and dual tone LED Flash. It comes with 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture on board. The rear camera can also record videos at 4K resolution.
The phone will be launching in three storage variants – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
Battery
The Meizu MX5 features a 3150mAh non removable Li-ion battery. It supports quick-charging features that lets you charge up to 25% in just 10 minutes.
